"HEARTBREAKER" - the movie

Have been out today to see the movie "Heartbreaker". Didnt expect much from it, but since its Sunday, nice weather and I felt like going out, I decided to see it.
Here is movie review for you:
Lets start that actors are not the ones we see very often, apart from Vanessa Paradis was in the movie as a main heroine. Opposite Romain Duris, whom I have never heard about before.
So, the story line goes as follows:
Alex (Romain Duris) is a professional heartbreaker. He does that for a living with a small team - his sister Mélanie and her eccentric husband Marc. And gets paid according to his reputation. All his assignments were easy and successful before and Alex start feeling slightly bored and needs something more exciting.
Thats when his new assignment arrives - Julia (Vanessa Paradis). She’s a young, beautiful, free-spirited and independent heiress, with a passion for shopping, fine wine, and a word-perfect knowledge of Dirty Dancing. In ten days she’s due to marry the man of her dreams, which her father completely dissaproves, saying that her new husband will bore her to death. Her husband-to-be is British and very "proper", but so are his parents. Their son is behaving coy in front of them, cos he cant tell the word against their will.
But Alex never breaks one rule - he never breaks up perfect and happy couples.
So, Julia with her fiance seem to be exactly the perfect one without any visible opportunity to break them apart and after properly studying the couple for couple of days, Alex is trying to reject the assignment, but his sister keeps whining about how they need money and Alex finally agrees to take it on.
He meets Julia and lies to her that he is her bodyguard, which has been hired by her dad to take care of her, she doesn't want to accept him, and after humiliating him, she offers to pay him twice as much for him to leave her alone.
Then couple of days later Alex "agrees" for a $50,000 check (her dad agreed to pay him $20,000 for the accomplished job) and as soon as Julia signs the check and drives off, her car gots broken into, she gets slap on her face and the burglar drives off in her car with all her possessions. Obviously, Alex runs, catches the burglar (which happens to be his sister, Mélanie) and returns everything back to Julia. She agrees to be protected by him from now on and tears her check apart.
Days go on and she starts feeling more and more towards Alex, but very slowly, as Julia is a complete control freak and she controls not only everyone, but most importantly, herself and her own feelings.
Meantime, sister with her husband start noticing, that Alex is not usual self and he starts feeling true feelings towards Julia as well, even though he is not admitting it.
The most action in the movie is happening in the hotel and around it, where Julia is staying in preparations for her wedding.

Later on her husband arrives to visit her there and they decide to have wedding 1 and a half days earlier, which, obviously, screws up all Alex plans even more, when he already finds it hard, rather nearly impossible, to break through Julia's defense.
Alex trains up on different things, including the famous dance from "Dirty Dancing" - Julia's favorite movie. And things like, eating smelly cheese in the morning and listening to George Michael (which he hates himself).
Last night, before the wedding, Alex calls Julia out for a walk and gives her unforgettable night, without even giving a kiss to her.

Next morning, before the wedding, Julia unable to lie to herself anymore, finds Alex near the sea and tries to tell him she will cancel wedding and all arrangements and go with him, whereas Alex becomes bitter and says they had a great time together and here it stops. There is nothing more she can expect.
She is upset and being escorted to the wedding by her dad, who is trying to tell her into canceling the wedding.
Alex is in the airport with his small team - and then his sister tells him, that their father was right when he said Alex chickens out every time he finds it tough. Alex gets angry and leaves running to the wedding, since he has no money to pay for the taxi. Meantime, just before giving Julia to her husband to be, her dad tells here there is a car parked near the entrance with the key in the ignition box for her, "just in case". She turns, running away in front of 100s guests and meets Alex on the road, running towards her. He tells her he lied to her, but would still love to be her man and he wishes to see her every day of his life. They kiss and stay together later on.

At the end of the movie there are different scenes with funny things happening after.
Movie is a pleasure to watch, a lot of fun - you will find yourself laughing out loud, with a nice twist in the plot, which I described, but briefly, leaving you something as a surprise as well. :)
I would definitely purchase this movie on DVD and recommend for watching to everyone. You can get some relationship lessons from there as well.

Total: I would give 9 out of 10 for the movie being not so typical.
